By The Numbers: Sporting KC vs Portland Timbers

By Jonathon Feyerherm

Sporting Kansas City will face the Portland Timbers for the fourth time in MLS (regular season) on Saturday night. The two teams have never played to a draw with Sporting KC winning the first two meetings, both in 2011, and Portland winning last season's match.

The only meeting at Sporting Park was on August 17, 2011 when Graham Zusi scored two goals to lead Sporting KC to a 3-1 victory.

The last regular season meeting was on April 21, 2012 at JELD-WEN Field when Portland snapped Sporting KC's perfect start to the 2012 regular season. Along with every other Western Conference team, Sporting KC will face Portland once in the 2013 regular season.
