2011: Signed by Sporting Kansas City on February 28th, made MLS debut as starter in March 26th match at Chicago. Went on loan to NSC Minnesota Stars from July to September.
2010: Signed with NSC Minnesota Stars (USSF D2) in May, debuting against Miami FC on May 22. Made 21 appearances in League competition, starting the club’s final 18 games as a left back, including starts in both legs of USSF D2 quarterfinals. Recognized as team Rookie of the Year. After rookie season, trialed with Kansas City in November.
COLLEGE: After red-shirting in 2005, Lorenz was a four-year letter winner at University of Wisconsin from 2006-2009, recording 10 assists and 14 goals, five of which were game-winners. Made 70 appearances as a mainstay in Badgers lineup, including 58 consecutive starts beginning in his sophomore season, while being used in several positions throughout the field. Named to Second Team All-Big Ten in junior and senior seasons. Also played with NPSL’s Chicago Fire while in college, being named a 2009 NPSL Midwest Region All-Star.
YOUTH: Played club soccer for FC 96ers and Chicago Sockers. Attended Barrington High School, leading the team in goals with 19 as a senior captain and earning All-Conference Player of the Year honors in addition to All-Area and All-State recognition.
PERSONAL: Was also accomplished volleyball player in high school…Son of Eric and Lori…Has sister, Melanie, and brother, Randy.
