Sporting KC and KU Soccer to host Residential Camp from July 17-20

2016 Big 12 Soccer Championship - Kansas Athletics
Sporting KC and KU Soccer to host Residential Camp from July 17-20 -

Sporting Kansas City and KU Women’s Soccer are teaming up to bring premier players a unique opportunity this Summer. From July 17 – 20 a Residential Camp will be hosted on the University of Kansas campus for players age 9 – 14 who are interested in pursuing a college soccer career. The 4-day, 3-night camp will include 8 on-field training sessions as well as tactical training sessions in the classroom. Campers will be immersed in the full college-playing experience as they eat in dining halls and stay in Naismith Hall on campus. In their down time, participants will be able to partake in movie nights, swim time, guest lectures and much more.

This camp comes as Sporting is expanding opportunities for high school aged players pursuing a college career. Through various new resources, and opportunities such as this one, players will be able to develop technical and tactical skills while gaining insight on life as a college student athlete. Additionally, participants will interact with current KU women’s players and coaches to learn what they are looking for when recruiting.

For more information on the camp itself, as well as how to register, visit the Residential Training Academy webpage.
