A new edition of the Sporting KC Show Podcast is now available as co-hosts Jon Kempin and Blake Aerni preview the club's highly-anticipated match-up with St. Louis CITY SC and interview midfielder Erik Thommy, who scored twice last Saturday in front of 72,610 fans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Making his 50th career regular season start for the club, the 29-year-old German opened the scoring with a superb shot in the sixth minute then leveled the score at 2-2 in the 58th minute with a stunning volley. Thommy, who has appeared in 54 straight regular season matches since making his debut in July 2022, now has a team-leading three goals this season.
In addition, Thommy joined The Program with Soren Petro on Sports Radio 810 WHB this week and Sporting KC President/CEO Jake Reid was a special guest on The Drive with Carrington Harrison on Friday.

Sporting Kansas City will host cross-state rivals St. Louis CITY SC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Children's Mercy Park.
