2016: Signed with the Swope Park Rangers on Aug. 15 after returning from with Piteå IF in the Swedish Division 1. Made five regular-season appearances, all off the bench. Scored one goal, striking late on his debut to secure a 1-1 draw with Saint Louis FC on Aug. 21. Made three substitute appearances in the USL Cup Playoffs.
Before USL: Barrett was selected in the second round (25th overall) of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Orlando City SC, but was waived in preseason. He linked up with Jacksonville Armada FC in the NASL, making 23 appearances and adding three goals and one assist as a rookie. In early 2016, Barrett signed with Piteå IF in the Swedish Division 1, playing in 17 games and scoring twice.
College: Barrett spent his freshman year at the University of Akron, scoring twice in nine games before transferring to the University of Tulsa. Barrett was a three-year letter-winner with the Golden Hurricane, playing in 54 games and adding 20 goals and 14 assists.
