Career Summary

2016: Made 17 regular-season appearances, starting eight, notching one goal and one assist. Drew his first start for the club on June 26 against Seattle Sounders FC 2 and scored his first goal with a 95th-minute game-tying free kick at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on July 20. Three days later, Molano added the game-winning assist against Orange County Blues FC. He was named to the bench of the USL Team of the Week for Week 18 after those two performances. Appeared in two games in the USL Cup Playoffs – both as a late substitute. Made his Sporting Kansas City debut by starting in a CONCACAF Champions League matchup with Central FC on Oct. 19.

Before USL: Molano began his career with FC Dallas’ Juniors and joined the U.S. Under-17 Residency Program in 2008 and 2009 before signing with Dinamo Zagreb Under-19s in Croatia. He joined Swedish side Bodens BK in 2011, making five appearances for the club before returning to Croatia to train with NK Vrapce. Molano rejoined Bodens BK in 2013, appearing eight times and recording two assists that season. At the start of 2014, Molano headed back to the U.S. and signed with NPSL club Dallas City FC, where he spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

International: A member of the U.S. Under-17 Residency Program in 2008 and 2009, Molano also appeared five times for the U.S. Under-20 team in 2010, helping the side win the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland. Molano was also called in for a U.S. Under-20 camp in January 2011.
