A Leawood, Kansas native, Sinovic walked on at Creighton University and became a team captain for the Blue Jays in 2008 and 2009 before being drafted by the New England Revolution in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. Sinovic was then signed by Sporting Kansas City in May 2011 after one season in New England. He scored his first professional goal in the 2012 MLS Cup Playoffs and registered the second of his career in the 2013 postseason as Sporting KC won MLS Cup.

2015: MLS regular season: Has started nine of 10 appearances and contributed to three clean sheets (838 minutes played). Returned to the lineup on Aug. 29 after missing more than three months with a concussion. Open Cup: Started and played 78 minutes in a championship win over the Philadelphia Union on Sept. 30 as Sporting KC prevailed 7-6 in penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in regulation.

2014: Was named Sporting KC's 2014 Defender of the YearMLS regular season: Appeared in 31 matches, all starts, and contributed to nine shutouts with two assists. Earned his first assist of the season on Lawrence Olum's goal in a 1-0 win over the Portland Timbers on June 27. Earned MLS Team of the Week honors (Week 23) after a 4-1 win over Toronto FC on Aug. 16. Assisted Dom Dwyer's goal in a 2-1 loss at New York on Sept. 6. MLS Playoffs: Played 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss at New York in the Eastern Conference Knockout Round (Oct. 30). CCL: Played 90 minutes in the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League first leg against Cruz Azul, contributing to a 1-0 shutout win. Started four matches (360 minutes) in the 2014-15 group stage, contributing to one shutoutAssisted Claudio Bieler's opening goal in a 3-0 win over Real Esteli on Sept. 23. Open Cup: Played 90 minutes in a 2-0 fourth round win over Minnesota United FC on June 18. 2013: MLS: Set career-high in games played (32), games started (31) and minutes (2,773). Tallied three assists, all game-winners. Assisted on Aurelien Collin's goal at Houston on May 12, Graham Zusi's goal at Chicago on July 7 and Soony Saad's goal vs. Toronto FC on July 23. Playoffs: Started and played full-time in all five MLS Cup Playoff matches. Scored the game-tying goal in the second leg of the Conference Semifinal series vs. New England. Converted his penalty kick in the MLS Cup Final shootout vs. Real Salt Lake. CCL: Started all four of Sporting KC's 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League group stage matches. Open Cup: Played 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Orlando City SC on June 12. 

2012: Sinovic started 30 games during the 2012 regular season, playing 2,621 minutes. Sinovic notched his first career MLS goal against Houston in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He also tallied two assists during the 2012 season, with the first coming against his former employer, the New England Revolution, during a 3-0 Sporting Kansas City victory at Sporting Park. Sinovic’s other assist came on May 19 in a 2-2 draw versus the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Sinovic also started all five games for Sporting Kansas City in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this year. Sinovic led all Sporting KC players with 460 minutes played in the U.S. Open Cup this season.

2011: Signed by Sporting Kansas City in May and made debut in 1-1 draw at Colorado Rapids. Earned starting spot at left back and played a major part in Sporting Kansas City's 14-game unbeaten run during middle stretch of season. Made a total of 20 starts during the regular season Also appeared in the club’s friendly against Newcastle United on July 16 and against CD Guadalajara on Oct. 12. 
2010: The 24-year-old entered Major League Soccer in 2010 as a second-round MLS SuperDraft selection by the New England Revolution. He appeared in 20 regular season matches, making 18 starts, for New England as a rookie, and also earned four appearances in the 2010 SuperLiga.
NATIONAL TEAM: Called into the 2014 USMNT January camp and trained for three weeks with the squad including a two-week stint in Brazil.
COLLEGE: Sinovic walked on at Creighton University, recording eight goals and 15 assists in 77 appearances while leading the Bluejays defense to 37 shutouts in his four seasons while playing primarily at left back. A team captain in 2008 and 2009, Sinovic was a two-time First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference and NSCAA All-Midwest Region honoree.
YOUTH: Sinovic compiled 42 goals and 35 assists at Rockhurst High School from 2001-2005 and appeared in two state championships with the Hawklets. He was a First-Team All-State selection and Western Missouri Offensive Player of the Year during his senior season, when he scored 25 goals and added 15 assists.

PERSONAL: Grew up playing club soccer with current Sporting Kansas City teammate Matt Besler. Enjoyed watching Steven Gerrard and Liverpool as a youth. Enjoys listening to all types of music, especially country. Kings of Leon is Sinovic's favorite band. Avid fan of Kansas athletics, as well as the Royals and Chiefs. Enjoys playing basketball, golfing and going to the movies in his spare time. Favorite movie is Caddyshack. Has one brother and one sister.
