After a week off from MLS play, Sporting KC enter Saturday's match coming off a 1-0 loss away to the Portland Timbers on April 21. The defeat snapped a club-record seven-match winning streak to begin the 2012 season.

Sporting Kansas City sits atop the Eastern Conference with a total of 21 points to date, six points ahead of second-placed D.C. United with two matches in hand.

Currently navigating through their debut season in Major League Soccer, the expansion Montreal Impact arrive in Kansas City sitting in seventh place in the East, having earned eight points from nine matches played so far in 2012. The Impact, led by head coach Jesse Marsch, are coming off a 0-0 draw with Toronto FC on Wednesday in the Amway Canadian Championship.

The Impact are captained by former Sporting Kansas City midfielder Davy Arnaud and are led in attack by Italian forward Bernardo Corradi, who has three goals since joining the club from Udinese. At the back, former Sporting Kansas City defenders Shavar Thomas and Tyson Wahl have both featured consistently in front of goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts.

Following the match, Sports Radio 810 WHB will air The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame with hosts Josh Whisenhunt and Andy Edwards live from the Members’ Club at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.
