This week, MLSsoccer.com is celebrating "Supporters Week." They are doing a series called "My favorite player is..." and today, they featured Preki! Former Kansas City midfielder Jack Jewsbury, Houston's Brad Davis and current Sporting Kansas City defender Matt Besler talk about Preki's influence on them as a fan and as a player.
Preki had two stints with Kansas City (1996-2000 and 2002-2005) and is the only player to win the MLS MVP twice (1997 and 2003). At the time of his retirement, Preki was the MLS all-time leader in points scored (270 on 79 goals and 112 assists, plus another 25 points on 10 goals and 5 assists in the playoffs) and was named to the MLS All-Time Best XI in 2005.
