The MLS Cup Playoffs will start tonight and the soccer writers/media have released their predictions. While it's not unanimous, Sporting Kansas City are the favorite to lift the trophy on December 1.
Sporting KC are picked by four of 10 MLSSoccer.com staff, SI.com's Grant Wahl, and several other journalists to win their second MLS Cup. The 2012 Supporters Shield winners, San Jose, are only predicted by two editors on MLSSoccer.com while Seattle was selected three times. The Supporters Shield winners have won MLS Cup six times but more times than not have failed to even reach the final.
