The 2012 Caribbean Cup kicks off today with Haiti taking on Trinidad & Tobago at 4 PM CT. Peterson Joseph will be on the Haiti roster and has featured in five of six qualifying matches.

Trinidad & Tobago are one of the strongest teams in the Caribbean and have won this competition eight times (most). The squad is almost entirely made up of players from the domestic league (TT Pro League) with Carlye Mitchell as the lone MLS representative (Vancouver).

T&T are the favorites heading into this match but Haiti are coming off a solid qualifying campaign. They recently defeated Guyana, a team who defeated T&T during 2014 World Cup Qualifying. Haiti's strength has been their strong defense which has only conceded three goals in their last six matches.

The Soca Warriors (T&T) are led by veteran Densil Theobald who has 83 caps and played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Overall, its a relatively inexperienced side with Theobald the only player with more than 50 caps.

The top scoring threat for T&T is Devorn Jorsling who has 17 goals in 32 appearances. T&T will be without one of their best players, Kenwyne Jones, who plays for English Premier League side Stoke City. Haiti will have a similar squad to the one use during qualifying and will realistically be aiming for a draw.

The entire tournament will be streamed live on Ustream.tv.
