Sporting Kansas City had a trio of players on the U.S. Men's National Team roster for tonight's international friendly and all three saw significant minutes in the scoreless draw. Matt Besler earned his first cap with the USMNT, starting at center back with the LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez, also a newbie in Klinsmann's blueprint. The duo played the full 90 minutes and were able to keep a clean sheet despite the new international atmosphere.
Sporting KC's Graham Zusi also started the match for the USMNT while Benny Feilhaber made his first appearance in a year as a second-half substitute. Zusi and Feilhaber stood over the majority of set pieces during the match, with one of the United States best chances coming from a Feilhaber free kick shortly after the halftime intermission.
Tonight's friendly marks the final stage of preparation for the United States in advance of their match against Honduras on February 6 in the final round of qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
