SKC loanees debut for Orlando City SC

SKC loanees debut for Orlando City SC -

Sporting Kansas City announced the loan of Christian Duke, Dom Dwyer, Jon Kempin and Yann Songo'o to Orlando City SC last Thursday. The loan is part of a two-year partnership with the Lions, who became the official USL PRO affiliate of Sporting KC in January.

Duke, Dwyer, Kempin and Songo'o arrived in Florida last week in advance of Orlando City SC's preseason friendly against Florida Gulf Coast University on Saturday. All four of Sporting Kansas City's loanees debuted for the Lions in the 6-0 victory over the Eagles.

Dwyer and Songo'o started the match, with Dwyer drawing a first-half penalty kick which teammate Jamie Watson converted to give Orlando the 2-0 lead just 17 minutes into the competition.

Duke subbed into the game one minute prior to the halftime intermission and stayed on the pitch for the remainder of the match. Kempin entered the game at the start of the second half, allowing all four Sporting Kansas City players to experience their Orlando City SC debuts in the same match.

Dwyer notched his first goal with the affiliate side in the 64th minute, helping the Lions earn a 6-0 result in the club's third friendly against a collegiate opponent. Orlando City SC will continue their 2013 collegiate friendly schedule on Thursday against Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. set to kick off at 6 p.m. CT.
