Sporting Kansas City looks to surpass the Montreal Impact in the Eastern Conference standings with a victory at Sporting Park on Saturday. One point separates the two clubs, who will meet for the second time this season. The match, sponsored by Capitol Federal, is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. CT kickoff and will be broadcast live on KSMO-TV starting at 7 p.m. CT. Fans can listen to the match live on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Gran D.

Sporting KC handed the Montreal Impact their first loss of 2013 in a 2-0 victory on March 30, after the Canadian side earned four consecutive victories to start the year. Claudio Bieler opened the scoring for Sporting KC in the fifth minute of the match before Graham Zusi added an insurance goal in the second half. Bieler's goal was one of six for the Argentine Designated Player this season, most among Sporting KC players.

Saturday's match features two of the League's top goal scorers in Bieler and Montreal striker Marco Di Vaio. The Italian finisher leads all players in MLS for goals scored this season with nine, including two game-winners. Bieler's three game-winning goals rank second in MLS this season.

The Montreal Impact are coming off a 2-2 draw on Wednesday against the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Canadian Championship at BC Place. After a 0-0 draw in the first leg, the Impact hoisted the Voyageurs Cup on aggregate to qualify for the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League.

Sporting KC are defending champions of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and defeated the Des Moines Menace in the club's opening match of the 2013 tournament on Tuesday. Kei Kamara and Bieler each added a tally in Sporting KC's 2-0 victory over the PDL side. Kamara's goal was his second in as many games since rejoining Kansas City after being on loan to Norwich City for the beginning of the season.

After securing their respective domestic championships, Sporting Kansas City (6-4-4) and the Montreal Impact (7-2-2) will both compete in the 2013-2014 CONCACAF Champions League. The draw for the tournament will take place on Monday.

On Saturday, Sporting Kansas City will be without U.S. Men's National Team duo Graham Zusi and Matt Besler, who are preparing to face Germany in an international friendly on Sunday at RFK Stadium. Mikey Lopez is with the U.S. Under 20 Men's National Team for the 2013 Toulon Tournament in France and forward Soony Saad will also miss the match while with Lebanon in advance of their FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against South Korea and Iran.
