Postgame: Sporting KC 3-2 Columbus Crew -

Sporting Kansas City earned a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Columbus Crew on Saturday night at Sporting Park to move into a tie for second place in the Eastern Conference standings. 


Man of the Match


Kei Kamara scored two goals and was consistently creating chances throughout the 90 minutes. The forward scored two goals in one of his best performances this season. Since returing from his loan to Norwich City, Kamara has scored four goals in four matches.  


Turning Point


Late in the second half, the match was tied at 2-2 despite Sporting KC controlling large stretches of the match. Kamara's second goal, in the 80th minute, put Sporting KC back on top and ultimately was the difference. Credit to Kevin Ellis who sent in a good cross into the box which led up to the game-winning goal. After Columbus failed to clear the cross, Claudio Bieler headed the ball to Kamara who calmly slotted it into the back of the net.
