The first meeting between Kansas City and Toronto FC was a memorable one. KC defeated Toronto FC 3-0 on April 25, 2007 behind goals from Eddie Johnson, Yura Movsisyan, and current Sporting KC assistant coach Kerry Zavagnin. The victory was the first of two over Toronto in a four-day span as KC defeated TFC 1-0 at BMO Field on April 28. Toronto would eventually score their first franchise goal and first victory on May 12 against the Chicago Fire.
For today's #TBT, the picture below shows Zavagnin celebrating his 55th minute goal in a match that saw Toronto shut out for the third consecutive time.
