After scoring 15 goals in 13 games during the regular season while on loan to Orlando City SC, Dom Dwyer saved his best performance of the season for the biggest stage with four goals and an assist in the 2013 USL PRO Championship last night. Dwyer and fellow Sporting KC teammate Christian Duke started as the Lions lifted the championship trophy following a 7-4 victory over the Charlotte Eagles.

The championship is the second title in three years for Sporting Kansas City's USL PRO affiliate and came in front of more than 20,000 fans at Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Dwyer collected All-League First Team and USL PRO Golden Boot honors and now adds USL PRO Championship MVP to his haul.
