College soccer seasons are underway across the country and more than 30 Sporting KC Academy alums are suiting up for their respective schools. Check out the list below for updates on several of the players representing the Sporting KC Academy...


  • Tom Adams (junior forward at Oral Roberts): Scored in season-opener at No. 8 St. Louis on Aug. 30; has appeared in all five games this year (0-4-1). He was selected to the Preseason All-Summit League First Team on Aug. 26.
  • Joe Amico (freshman defender at Central Florida): Has started all five games for the Knights (1-2-2) and is second on the team in minutes played (477)
  • Chris Arce (freshman midfielder at Neosho CC): Has made four appearances, including three starts, this season as the Panthers have a perfect 5-0-0 start to the season with four wins away from home
  • Jovanny Bonilla (sophomore midfielder at Barton County CC): Has made four appearances, including three starts, with an assist against Cowley County CC on Sept. 5 (4-1-1)
  • Andrew Brown (sophomore midfielder at Bradley): Has played in all five games for the Braves (3-2-0), including 62 minutes of action in Bradley's 1-0 victory over No. 1 ranked Connecticut on Sept. 14
  • Paul Dean (freshman defender at Rockhurst): Has appeared in all four games this season for the Hawks (3-1-0)
  • Eric DeJulio (sophomore defender at Creighton): Appeared in 3-0 victory over Cal Poly on Sept. 1 for No. 5 ranked Creighton
  • Brandon Fricke (junior defender at Butler): A team captain, has appeared in all six games for Butler (4-1-1), including a 1-0 win at No. 7 Louisville on Sept. 7
  • Daniel Hare (sophomore defender at Loyola): Has appeared in all five games for Loyola (3-2-0)
  • Eric Hymer (junior defender at Fort Hays St.): Has started all four games for the Tigers (3-1-0)
  • Seo-In Kim (freshman midfielder at Duke): Has started all five games for the Blue Devils (2-1-2) and has three assists. He earned assist in 2-0 win against Northeastern on Sept. 1 and recorded two assists, including the game-winner in overtime, on Tuesday in a 3-2 victory over Davidson.
  • Raymond Lee (junior midfielder at Saint Louis): Has played in all five games for the No. 5 ranked Billikens (4-1-0) with a goal on Sept. 11 against Evansville
  • Adam Lightner (freshman defender at Northern Illinois): Has appeared in all six games this season, including one start, for the Huskies (2-4-0)
  • Andrew Lightner (sophomore defender at Dayton): Has started all five games for the Flyers (5-0-0) and helped the team win the Missouri State Tournament on Sept. 15
  • Andrew Miller (sophomore defender at Baker): Has played in three games, including appearance in 2-1 road win at No. 15 Ashford University on Aug. 24, for Baker (3-3-1)
  • Michael Oakley (junior defender at UMKC): Has started all five games for the Roos (1-2-2) this season, including 1-1 draw against No. 13 Tulsa on Sept. 13
  • Paul Oliver (junior midfielder at Cal Baptist): Has started both games for CBU this season (0-1-1). Oliver was named honorable mention on the 2013 PacWest Preseason All-Conference Team.
  • Nate Opperman (sophomore forward at Evansville): Has played in all six games this season, earning three starts, for the Purple Aces (3-2-1). He recorded the game-winning assist with 34 seconds remaining in double overtime in the team's 2-1 victory against No. 6 Saint Louis on Sept. 11.
  • Jordan Rideout (junior forward at UMKC): A team captain, has started all five games for the Roos (1-2-2) and leads the team with 15 shots this season. He was selected as the Western Athletic Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the year and 2013 Preseason All-WAC Team on Aug. 20.
  • Derek Schrick (sophomore midfielder at UMKC): Has played in all five games, including four starts, for the Roos (1-2-2) and scored in the team's season opener with a header in a 1-1 draw against Wisconsin
  • Alex Sweetin (senior midfielder at Saint Louis): Has played in all five games for the No. 5 ranked Billikens (4-1-0) with an assist on the team's game-winning goal in double overtime against Northern Illinois on Sept. 8. He was named to 2013 Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Team on Aug. 21
  • Chris Tuso (sophomore midfielder at Baker): Has played in all seven games for Baker (3-3-1) with four starts. He appeared in both of the team's victories over ranked teams this season, a 2-1 OT victory over No. 15 Ashford on Aug. 24 and a 1-0 victory over No. 6 Concordia on Sept. 6
  • Taylor Vinnage (junior goalkeeper at Benedictine): Has played in five games, making four starts, this season for No. 3 ranked Benedictine with a 0.80 goals against average, 18 saves, 0.818 save percentage and a 5-0-0 record
  • Austin Wilcox (freshman midfielder at UMKC): Has appeared in all five games, including three starts, for the Roos (1-2-2) with an appearance in 1-1 draw against No. 13 Tulsa on Sept. 13
  • Drew Wilson (freshman defender at Fort Hays State): Has started all four games for the Tigers (3-1-0) this season
  • Shane Woods (sophomore forward at Drury): Has started all five games for the No. 16 ranked Panther this season (4-1-0) with a goal against Southwest Baptist on Sept. 17
