When Sporting KC takes the field this weekend, they will do so with a familiar face on the opposing sideline.
Former KC Wizards defender, assistant coach and head coach Brian Bliss assumed the reins in Columbus in September after the new Crew ownership group fired Robert Warzycha.
After serving as an assistant coach from 2000-2006 on Bob Gansler's staff, Bliss took over the job midway through the 2006 season. In 14 games as interim head coach, Bliss went 4-4-6.
Bliss is 0-1-0 all-time against his former club after losing 3-0 on September 7 at Sporting Park.
