Sporting Park will host two job fairs this week in efforts to hire part-time event staff for the 2014 season, Sporting Kansas City announced on Tuesday. The first will be held on Saturday, January 25 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT. The second will follow on Tuesday, January 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT. Both job fairs will take place in the Boulevard Members Club at Sporting Park located at One Sporting Way, Kansas City, KS 66111.
Part-time positons include ambassadors, concierge, hosts, and merchandise representatives. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Gate Ambassador – Greet fans upon entry and examine/scan tickets for all ticketed events at Sporting Park. Monitor and control guest behavior and access to Stadium as required. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and stand for lengths of time encouraged.
- Fan Host – Assist fans in locating seats during events at Sporting Park. Work to ensure crowd behavior is positive and supports an enjoyable experience for all guests. As necessary, escalate situations to supervisors and/or security. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and stand for lengths of time encouraged.
- Premium Concierge – Assist guests in locating the Premium areas of Sporting Park and supplies general information. Must have excellent customer service skills. This position is ideal for a candidate who prefers to work indoors and has the ability to stand for lengths of time encouraged.
- Shuttle Transportation Guides – Work to ensure that shuttle lines are organized and safe for all guests. Assist guests in locating specific entrances and amenities of Sporting Park while also providing pertinent event information. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and stand for lengths of time encouraged.
- Plaza Team- Assist with the running of Sprint Inflatables which includes setup, breakdown, greeting guests, having parents/guardians fill out waivers, supervise children on the inflatables. Once plaza closes, associate will help give breaks to other Guest Services Staff members. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to interact with children. Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and stand for lengths of time encouraged.
- Merchandise Seller - This position will be responsible for processing and selling merchandise during Sporting Kansas City matches and other special events deemed necessary. Other duties include inventory, stocking merchandise items, assisting season ticket clients, and representing the organization in a positive and respectful manner.
