Aspiring Journalists: We Want You!

Journalism Night

Sporting Park is hosting Journalism Night in conjunction with Sporting Kansas City’s April 19 home match versus the Montreal Impact. Aspiring journalists are encouraged to submit ideas for a new series that could be featured on SportingKC.com during the 2014 season. All forms of content (videos, written materials, audio podcasts, etc.) are welcomed for consideration.

The best applicants will be selected to enjoy a VIP experience at Sporting Park that includes tickets to the April 19 home match, a tour of the $200+ million state-of-the-art facility, a Q&A with KMCI’s 38 The Spot host Crystle Lampitt and more.

Students will have the opportunity to observe a press conference immediately after the match followed by a meet and greet with MLS Cup champion Oriol Rosell. The Spanish midfielder enrolled at the University of Missouri - Kansas City in January and is currently working toward a business degree in Entrepreneurship.

In addition to the possibility of SportingKC.com publishing your contribution, one lucky winner will be chosen to run the team's official @SKCGameday Twitter account for the April 19 match against Montreal.
