Recycle Your Game to collect donated soccer equipment during National Recycling month

Sporting Club Network DL

Sporting Kansas City introduced a new program during Sporting Takeoff on March 4 at the Charles Wheeler Downtown Airport. Recycle Your Game collects new or gently used soccer equipment and donates the collected items to children in underprivileged communities.

A program of Sporting KC’s Victory Project, which aims to help all children thrive through life’s challenges, Recycle Your Game’s goal is to impact disadvantaged local youth. Donated items will be given to youth soccer players in need who are a part of the Sporting Club Network.

Any fan that donates their soccer gear at a Recycle Your Game collection spot will receive a 10% off coupon for Sporting KC apparel at any of the Sporting Style locations in Sporting Park. Coupons will be presented at the time of donation.

Donated items can consist of any type, size and/or color of soccer related items. Cleats, jerseys, socks, balls and shin guards are just a few examples of what Recycle Your Game is aiming to collect and give back to youth in the community.

Recycle Your Game plans to kick off April, National Recycling month, with another chance to donate used gear at Sporting Kansas City's April 5 home match versus Real Salt Lake.  Recycle Your Game volunteers will be manning donation bins, accessible at each entrance into Sporting Park on Saturday.

In addition, donations will also be accepted at the following upcoming Sporting Club Network events:

El Padrino Soccer League, powered by KCP&L, will be the first recipients of the Recycle Your Game collected gear at their youth clinic on Tuesday, April 22nd.
