JUST MARRIED: Newlyweds Dom Dwyer and Sydney Leroux reveal Valentine's Day surprise

Dom Dwyer and Sydney Leroux

It's official. Sporting Kansas City All-Star Dom Dwyer and U.S. Women's National Team gold medalist Sydney Leroux have tied the knot, announcing their marriage earlier today on their social media accounts and via a story on People.com.

The Valentine's Day surprise comes nearly two months to the day since the twosome first revealed their relationship and hinted that nuptials may be in their near future. Instantly, the duo were declared "American soccer's most powerful couple" by USA Today amidst a frenzy of media attention (see: ESPNYahoo! Sports, SB Nation, Fusion, The Big Lead) in which TMZ went so far as to warn New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen that their claim to best looking couple in sports could be under threat.

Since the news broke mid-December, their Twitter and Instagram followers have been treated to a steady stream of photos and videos as the romance blossomed into mister and missus status...complete with the keys to a new home in KC just a few days ago.
