(October 19, 2015) -- Sporting Kansas City enters the final week of the 2015 regular season with two key home games at Sporting Park to determine the team's postseason fate in a tightly-contested Western Conference race in which the club could finish as high as the second seed or outside of playoff position in seventh place.
Sporting KC first hosts the Colorado Rapids at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday -- in a match originally scheduled for May 16 but postponed due to inclement weather -- and can secure a spot in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs with a victory. The match will air live locally on KMCI-TV 38 the Spot and across the Midwest on SKCTV affiliates with three hours of coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT. Radio broadcasts will also be available on 99.3 FM (English) and 1340 AM (Spanish).
The regular season finale will then be held at 6 p.m. CT on Sunday between Sporting Kansas City and the LA Galaxy in a nationally-televised Decision Day match-up on ESPN. Tickets are available for both matches online at Ticketmaster.com and the first 5,000 fans inside the stadium on Sunday will receive Sporting KC touchscreen gloves courtesy of Pepsi.
On Wednesday, Amadou Dia will make a gameday appearance at the Legends 14 Theatre (1841 Village West Parkway) in Kansas City, Kansas from 5-6:30 p.m. CT. Located less than a mile from Sporting Park, fans are encouraged to stop by the theater prior to the match for autographs and photo opportunities.
On Thursday, Mikey Lopez will participate in a meet-and-greet from 4:30-6 p.m. CT at Westlake Ace Hardware (4049 Somerset) in Prairie Village, Kansas. Fans can enter the All-Star Patio sweepstakes for a chance to win a prize pack that includes patio essentials and outdoor decor, as well as Sporting KC tickets/merchandise. In addition, 10 runner-up winners will receive a $100 gift card to Westlake Ace Hardware and a Sporting KC scarf/t-shirt.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air live on 99.3 FM from 6-7 p.m. CT on Thursday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Andy Gruenebaum and Carter Augustine. Fans can join the discussion by calling 913-491-8255.
Finally, fans are invited to "Uncork for a Cause" with Seth Sinovic from 7-9 p.m. CT on Friday at the InterContinental Kansas City at The Plaza. The charity program will raise awareness and funding for The Victory Project with tickets starting at $90 for food, drink and a complimentary bottle of Seth Sinovic 2012 Sonoma Reserve Red Wine. VIP tickets are available for $250 featuring a private cocktail reception with Sinovic and his Sporting KC teammates, as well as a private wine tasting and a gift bag with exclusive memorabilia.
