Battle of the tifos

Cauldron Tifo

We all know the rowdy residents of KC Cauldron and South Stand SC are masters of creating clever tifos to cheer on their boys in blue. And we’ve seen some especially impressive displays of support over the past couple years. So as we wait to see what the supporters bring to the table in the 2016 season, we look back at some of the best tifos at Children's Mercy Park.
The ones based on chants

Battle of the tifos -

This tifo was inspired by one of the section’s favorite chants — “No other club / But SKC / For the glory / of the city” —  so it only seems appropriate to go all out with a “No other club” banner featuring two of the fan’s all-time favorite players: Matt Besler and Graham Zusi.

And speaking of that chant, the “For the Glory of the City” tifo is another all-time fave of the club’s members. Try not to let your body double in size as you swell with KC pride just looking at that thing.

Joining in the battle of the tifos is the South Stand, with their tifos based on the "Vermes' Army" chant. The tifos, which read "We're all part of Vermes's army," feature three sure-fire elements of memorable signage — they're clean, they're classic and they featuring a brooding Peter to really seal the deal.

The ones that show our nerdy side

Battle of the tifos -

A memorable tifo to go along with the most memorable of post-season matches. And what could be better than Mario in Sporting Blue battling a RSL-hued Bowser. Definitely geeky, and definitely a contender for best tifo to come out of the Cauldron.

A play on the hip-hop group “Run the Jewels,” this “Run the League” tifo is both obscure and inventive — not to mention incredibly well done. And who said Kansas Citians were all about that country music?
The one that tugs at the heartstrings

If you aren't immediately filled with warm fuzzy feelings when you see this tifo, you might want to check your pulse.
Bottom line: these supporters don’t mess around with their signage. But the question is: Which tifo takes the cake for the best of the past couple seasons?
Which tifo is your favorite?
