Ever wonder how Sporting Kansas City players spend their off day during the preseason? Us too! So, SportingKC.com checked-in with a few of the guys to find out.


It turns out (to no one's surprise) the majority spent Sunday resting and recovering, but took the opportunity to explore Tucson on Saturday afternoon.


Thanks to the folks at FC Tucson, 20 players were able to attend Saturday's game between the University of Arizona Wildcats and the Oregon State Beavers. The guys had a blast as shown below when they found their way into the student section at the McKale Center.

But Graham Zusi, Roger Espinoza and Chance Myers had an entirely different idea of relaxation. The veteran trio came to Tucson prepared with tents, headlamps, camel backs and more and went on a hike to Romero Pools where they then pitched tents and spent the night with nature. They took lots of pictures, but Espinozaā€™s camel back got the best of his Sonya7ii. Luckily, the camera is under warranty. In the meantime, he can re-live the expedition with the awesome time-lapse that he captured on his phone...
