TICKETS ON SALE FOR SPORTING KC’S FIRST NINE HOME GAMES
Single-game tickets for Sporting KC’s first nine home matches of the 2016 MLS regular season — beginning with the home opener against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 12 and continuing through a June 19 matchup with FC Dallas — are now on sale via Ticketmaster.com. SPORTING KC TOPS FC TUCSON 4-0 IN PRESEASON
Sporting KC opened its 2016 preseason, presented by Children's Mercy, with a 4-0 win over PDL side FC Tucson on Saturday at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona. Brad Davis and Dom Dwyer scored early and Connor Hallisey added a second-half brace in the victory. (Full story)


SPORTING KC TO SCRIMMAGE SEONGNAM FC ON SUNDAY
Sporting KC will conclude the first phase of its 2016 preseason, presented by Children’s Mercy, with a scrimmage against South Korean club Seongnam FC at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson. The team will travel back to Kansas City on Monday before returning to Arizona from Feb. 14-27 for the second phase of preseason training, highlighted by the Desert Diamond Cup.


SPORTING KC TO DEBUT NEW TV SPOT DURING SUPER BOWL
Sporting KC will introduce its 2016 marketing campaign in a new television commercial that will debut Sunday on KCTV5 during Super Bowl 50. The 30-second spot will include a sneak peak of the club’s new secondary jersey for the 2016 season.


SPORTING KC TRANSFERS KRISZTIAN NEMETH TO QATAR
Sporting KC announced last Friday that the club has agreed to transfer forward Krisztian Nemeth to Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar, pending a physical. Per MLS policy, Sporting KC will receive two-thirds of the transfer fee. (Full story)


SPORTING KC LOANS ERIK PALMER-BROWN TO FC PORTO
Sporting KC announced Monday that the club has loaned 18-year-old defender Erik Palmer-Brown to FC Porto in Portugal for the remainder of 2016. Palmer-Brown has played 13 matches for Sporting KC in all competitions since signing as the club’s third Homegrown Player in August 2013. (Full story)


BESLER STARTS FOR U.S. IN WIN OVER ICELAND
Sporting KC defender Matt Besler made his 30th international appearance on Sunday as the United States Men’s National Team twice came from behind to defeat Iceland 3-2 in a friendly at StubHub Center in Carson, California. (Full story)


BESLER AND U.S. TO FACE DE JONG AND CANADA ON FRIDAY
Sporting KC defenders Matt Besler and Marcel de Jong will square off in an international friendly at 9:15 p.m. CT on Friday as the United States meets Canada at StubHub Center in Carson, California (FS1, UniMas, Univision Deportes). Besler (United States) and de Jong (Canada) are with their respective national teams in preparation for two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March and will join Sporting KC for the second preseason training camp from Feb. 14-27 in Tucson.


SWOPE PARK RANGERS SEASON TICKETS NOW ON SALE
Swope Park Rangers season tickets are now on sale to the general public starting at $7 per game ($105 total). Fans who wish to secure their season tickets can call 888-4KC-GOAL. The Rangers will open their inaugural season on March 26 when they host Portland Timbers 2 at Children’s Mercy Park. (Full story)


RANGERS ADD 19-YEAR-OLD KEVIN OLIVEIRA
The Swope Park Rangers announced today that the club has signed Kevin Oliveira from Portuguese club Benfica B. Oliveira, 19, becomes the fourth player on the Rangers’ roster to occupy a Foreign Player roster spot and will join the club pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate. SKC ACADEMY RESUMES LEAGUE ACTION SUNDAY
The Sporting KC Academy U-14, U-16 and U-18 clubs will resume play in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy on Sunday, facing the Colorado Rush in a tripleheader at Fort Hays State University Soccer Stadium in Hays, Kansas. Follow @SKCAcademy on Twitter and Instagram for the latest Academy updates.


COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO VENUE PASSES NOW ON SALE
Venue Passes for the 2016 Copa America Centenario went on sale to the general public today for each of the 10 host venues across the United States. A Venue Pass is a ticket to all matches in a specific venue, excluding the championship match at MetLife Stadium. Held from June 3-26, Copa America Centenario will feature 16 competing nations — 10 from CONMEBOL (the South American football confederation) and six from CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), including the U.S. and Mexico. Venue Passes can be secured at ca2016.com.
