Player of the Month: Vote on Uphoria for a chance at tickets to Sporting KC's match on April 13

Sporting KC Player of the Month - March 2016

Sporting Kansas City ended the month of March atop the MLS Supporters' Shield standings with three wins from three games. Several players have excelled during the club's strong start, and now it's time for fans to have their say.

Through Monday, supporters can access the Sporting KC Uphoria mobile app to vote for Sporting Kansas City's player of the month. All users who vote will be entered to win tickets to the club's 20th Anniversary match against the Colorado Rapids on April 13 at Children's Mercy Park. Those who haven't downloaded Uphoria on their smart phones can do so for free at the App Store or Google Play.

Four players are up for selection â€” goalkeeper Tim Melia, defender Nuno Andre Coelho, midfielder Roger Espinoza and striker Dom Dwyer— and the poll will remain open through Monday at midnight. Select winners will be notified the following day.

April 13 will mark the 20-year anniversary of Sporting KC's inaugural match against the Rapids in 1996. The highly anticipated evening will have a distinct throwback theme, paying homage to the club's early days as an MLS charter member. More details about 20th Anniversary Night will be announced in the coming days.

TIM MELIA

The reigning MLS Comeback Player of the Year has started brightly in 2016, notching two shutouts and a handful of spectacular saves
 â€”
including this one, which landed MLS Save of the Week honors.

NUNO ANDRE COELHO
The newly acquired Portuguese center back has settled in nicely alongside captain Matt Besler. He marked his MLS debut with a 30-yard strike in Sporting KC's season-opening win over Seattle Sounders FC and has helped anchor a backline that has yet to concede a goal from the run of play.

ROGER ESPINOZA
The dogged midfielder has bossed the center of the pitch, ranking among the top 10 in MLS in duels and passing accuracy. Espinoza missed the final three months of 2015 through injury but has shown no signs of rust this season.

DOM DWYER
The English striker was at his devastating best on March 12, scoring a brace in Sporting KC's 2-1 win over Vancouver. He added a game-winning assist the following week in a 1-0 win over Toronto FC.
