That phrase was uttered by Sporting KC Manager Peter Vermes on Sports Night with TJ Carpenter Monday evening on Sports Radio 810. Vermes joined the show after Sporting KC's 2-1 win over Orlando City SC on Sunday that snapped the club's seven-game winless streak.
Sporting Kansas City dominated Sunday's affair from start to finish, outshooting the visitors 34-7 and holding the Lions to 0 shots on target. Sunday's match was the eighth straight in which Sporting KC out-possessed the opposition, but the possession has not always turned into positive results.
