Sporting Kansas City (5-8-3, 18 points) snapped a two-game losing streak last Thursday with a 0-0 draw at LA Galaxy. The club will not play this week as the 2016 Major League Soccer season takes a two-week break for the Copa America Centenario. Manager Peter Vermes' men will return to the field next Wednesday, June 15, beginning their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup defense at Minnesota United FC (NASL).

Three Sporting Kansas City players have joined their respective countries for the 2016 Copa America Centenario, a marquee international tournament headlined by the United States, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Defender Matt Besler and winger Graham Zusi are with the U.S. Men's National Team, which looks to rebound from last Friday's 2-0 defeat to Colombia in the tournament opener. Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann's side will face Costa Rica at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday at Soldier Field in Chicago (FS1, UniMas, UDN) before finishing the group stage Saturday at 6 p.m. CT versus Paraguay at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia (FS1, Univsion, UDN).

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Soni Mustivar is also competing at Copa America Centenario with the Haiti Men's National Team. Haiti fell 1-0 to Peru in its inaugural Copa America match on Saturday and will look to bounce back against world powerhouse Brazil at 6:30 p.m. CT Wednesday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida (FS1, UniMas, UDN). Mustivar's team rounds out the group stage at 5:30 p.m. CT Sunday against Ecuador at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey (FS2, Univision, UDN).

The second annual Sporting KC Day at the Zoo will take place Saturday, featuring a full day of soccer-themed activities at the Kansas City Zoo in Swope Park. Fans are encouraged to join Sporting KC players Chance Myers, Benny Feilhaber, Seth Sinovic and Brad Davis for the special event, which also includes the Rare Experience Walk benefiting rare disease patients and the Victory Project. Tickets for Sporting KC Day at the Zoo are available online at kansascityzoo.org or at the Kansas City Zoo gates. The Zoo is offering $1 off the price of admission to guests that wear Sporting KC apparel. Visit SportingKC.com for more information.

The Swope Park Rangers continued their inaugural season in the United Soccer League with a 2-1 defeat to Portland Timbers 2 on Saturday in Meridian, Idaho. The Rangers (3-5-2, 11 points) will play two league games this week, first hosting Rio Grande Valley (5-2-4, 19 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT Wednesday at Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village. Tickets can be secured via Ticketmaster.com, by calling 888-4KC-GOAL, or at the stadium box office on Wednesday.

In conjunction with Wednesday's match, the Rangers will host Bark at the Park, presented by the KC Pet Project. Supporters are invited to bring their dog(s) to the game by taking advantage of a $22 ticket package that includes entry for one ticket holder and one canine companion, plus much more. Visit SportingKC.com for more details.

The Rangers will then hit the road to meet Vancouver Whitecaps 2 (6-1-4, 22 points) at 4 p.m. CT Sunday at UBC Thunderbird Stadium. Both matches this week will be streamed live on SportingKC.com.

The Victory Project will host its "Yoga on the Pitch" fundraising event Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. CT at Children's Mercy Park. The 60-minute, all-levels yoga class will take place on the field to help raise funds for the Victory Project. Select Sporting KC players will also participate in the class and hold an autograph session afterwards. Open to those aged 11 and up, Yoga on the Pitch costs $50 and includes the yoga class, a tank top and the chance to win prizes courtesy of Sporting KC and other companies. Visit yoga.victorykc.org for more information.

BeerKC and Sporting Kansas City present the Sixth Annual Westport Beer Festival, a tribute to craft beers. The event returns to historic Westport on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. CT on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of McCoy's Public House and is a benefit for AIDS Walk Kansas City. This year's event will feature appearances by Sporting KC players Tim Melia, Roger Espinoza, Seth Sinovic and Ike Opara. Visit beerkc.com/westportbeerfest for tickets and more information.

The Sporting KC Academy U-12s and U-13s are competing tonight in the Kansas State Cup at Overland Park Soccer Complex (13700 Switzer Rd., Overland Park, KS). The U-12s will face Metro United KC Fusion Academy 02/03 in the championship at 7 p.m. CT, while the U-13s play Sedgwick County SA 02 Santos Select in the semifinals at 7 p.m. CT. The Sporting KC U-15s won the Kansas State Cup on Saturday, qualifying for the 2016 U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships in Westfield, Indiana, from June 24-29.

The Sporting KC Academy U-16s and U-18s ended the 2015-16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy regular season on Sunday. Both teams have qualified for the USSDA Playoffs from June 22-26 at Toyota Park in Frisco, Texas, and the draw to determine group assignments will be announced Wednesday. via @ussoccer_acad on Twitter.
