Sporting Kansas City (8-8-4, 28 points) extended their unbeaten streak to five MLS matches with a 3-1 home win over New York City FC on Sunday. The club currently sits fifth in the Western Conference standings and will play two road games this week. First up is Wednesday's meeting with Eastern Conference bottom dwellers Chicago Fire (3-8-5, 14 points) at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois. The interconference clash will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT with three hours of live television coverage starting at 7 p.m. CT on 38 The Spot and SKCTV. Listeners can also follow the match on 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM, with The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show airing immediately after the game on 99.3 FM.

Manager Peter Vermes' men will then travel from Chicago to Commerce City, Colorado, for a Western Conference tilt against second-place Colorado Rapids (9-2-7, 34 points) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, with 38 The Spot and SKCTV again providing three hours of live coverage starting at 7:30 p.m. CT. The match will be broadcast on 99.3 FM and La Grande 1340 AM, and Sports Radio 810 WHB will air The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show upon the game's conclusion.

Jimmy Medranda has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week after opening his scoring account with an excellent 25-yard strike in Sunday's 3-1 win over New York City FC. The quarterfinal round of voting is open until 10:55 p.m. CT Tuesday.

The Swope Park Rangers are on a three-game unbeaten run of their own following Saturday's 1-1 draw at Arizona United SC. The Rangers (6-7-3, 21 points) can jump into playoff position in USL's Western Conference with a victory on Tuesday when they host Oklahoma City Energy FC (5-2-7, 22 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets for the match at Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village are available via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. The contest will also be streamed live on SportingKC.com.

Major League Soccer will unveil the game day roster for the 2016 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Sunday during ESPN's coverage of Montreal Impact vs. LA Galaxy, which begins at 4 p.m. CT. Sporting KC center back Matt Besler was named to the MLS All-Star Fan XI on Saturday, earning All-Star accolades for the fifth time in his career.

Tickets are on sale for Buzz Beach Ball 2016, presented by Sporting Kansas City and 96.5 The Buzz. Buzz Beach Ball 2016 will be held Saturday and Sunday at Children's Mercy Park, marking the first time the show has been extended to a second day.
