MLS Disciplinary Committee suspends Kevin Ellis for Saturday's match

The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Sporting Kansas City defender Kevin Ellis for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 9th minute of SKC’s match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on August 20. Ellis will serve the suspension during Sporting’s next match against the Philadelphia Union on August 27.


In addition, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Vancouver Whitecaps FC forward Christian Bolaños and issued an undisclosed fine for violent conduct that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 53rd minute of Vancouver’s match against Sporting Kansas City on August 20. Bolaños will serve the suspension during Whitecaps FC’s next match against LA Galaxy on August 27.


The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found New York Red Bulls forward Alex Muyl guilty of embellishment in the 47th minute of the Red Bulls match against D.C. United on August 21. Muyl has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions.
