The Sporting KC Uphoria mobile app is delivering fans the perfect treat to close out the summer.
When Sporting Kansas City hosts the Houston Dynamo on Friday in the 100th regular season game at Children's Mercy Park, Uphoria users will receive an offer for a free frozen dessert at Kansas City area Price Chopper locations through Sunday.
The offer card, pictured on the right, acts like a Groupon and is just as easy to use. Simply show the offer screen to the Price Chopper cashier at checkout to redeem your free ice cream throughout the weekend. Uphoria users will have three delightful options from which to choose:
- Klondike Bar 6-pack
- Magnum 6-pack
- Popsicle 20-pack
In addition to dishing out free frozen desserts, Sporting KC Uphoria will give supporters the opportunity to participate in the Cap Fed SKC Moments contest by using photo filters on MySKC Cam and posting pictures to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #capfedskc. As long as they’re wearing Sporting gear, supporters can enter the contest from anywhere — whether they’re in the stadium, at No Other Pub or in the comfort of their own home. Contest winners will receive two tickets to an upcoming game, an autographed soccer ball and be entered to win a phenomenal grand prize at season's end.
Uphoria users will also be able to test their Sporting KC trivia knowledge with a poll question that is deployed Friday before the match. If they answer correctly, they will be entered to win four tickets to Tuesday's home match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the CONCACAF Champions League.
Lastly, the “Tix City Seat Options” in Uphoria’s left navigation menu will allow fans to choose from a variety of Experience upgrades, including:
- VIP parking
- Postgame photo on the pitch
- Access to the UMB Field Club, Ameritas Shield Club and Boulevard Members Club
- Seat upgrades bringing you closer to the field in the second half.
