Sporting Kansas City (11-12-6, 39 points) remained in fifth place in the Western Conference following a 3-3 draw against the Houston Dynamo on Friday at Children's Mercy Park. The club stays home for a pair of matches in separate competitions this week. The club will resume its Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League campaign on Tuesday, hosting Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a must-win game at 7 p.m. CT. Sporting KC trails Vancouver by five points in Group C with two group stage matches remaining, and a loss or draw tomorrow night would eliminate Manager Peter Vermes' men from North America's premier club tournament.

Tickets for Tuesday's match can be secured via Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. CONCACAF's official Facebook page will provide a live stream of the contest, while Univision Deportes Network will air a Spanish-language telecast on tape delay at 1 a.m. CT Wednesday. In addition, The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show will air immediately after the match on 99.3 FM.

Sporting Kansas City then continues its playoff push in the MLS regular season on Sunday, facing the second-place LA Galaxy (11-4-14, 47 points) in a 1 p.m. CT kickoff at Children's Mercy Park. American soccer legend Landon Donovan has come out of retirement to join the LA Galaxy for the remainder of 2016, adding gloss to a match that carries significant postseason implications in the Western Conference. The marquee matchup will be televised nationally on FOX, while local radio broadcasts will air on 99.3 FM (English) and 1340 AM (Spanish) with 99.3 running The Final Whistle: Sporting KC Postgame Show immediately afterward. A limited number of tickets for the high-profile clash are still available at Ticketmaster.com.

A new episode of the Sporting KC Show will air Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. CT on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Jake Yadrich will preview Sporting KC's home match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7 p.m. CT that evening and also look ahead to Sunday's matchup with the LA Galaxy. Supporters are encouraged to join the discussion by calling 913-3-810-810.

The Swope Park Rangers boosted their postseason hopes with a 3-0 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday night at Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village. Currently four points clear in the USL Western Conference playoff race, the seventh-place Rangers (11-10-6, 39 points) travel to face fifth-place Oklahoma City Energy FC (10-5-12, 42 points) at 6 p.m. CT Sunday at Taft Stadium. SportingKC.com will provide a live stream of the match as the regional rivals square off for the fourth time in 2016.

The Sporting Kansas City Academy U-18s and U-16s continue regular season action in the 2016-17 U.S. Soccer Development Academy this weekend, traveling to face the Colorado Rapids in a pair of doubleheaders at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (Field 22) in Commerce City, Colorado. The U-18s will kick off at 11 a.m. CT before the U-16s take the field at 1:30 p.m. CT on both Saturday and Sunday.
