Sporting Kansas City hosts LA Galaxy on Sunday in a nationally televised match on FOX, ESPN Deportes and FOX Sports GO. Limited tickets are available and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL. Whether you are coming to the match or watching on TV, there is lots of important information you need to know.


Broadcast Information

Sunday's match was originally scheduled for 12 p.m. CT and broadcast on ESPN. Now, television coverage will begin at 1 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on FOX. The exact kickoff time is 1:03 p.m. CT. There is NO PREGAME SHOW on FOX so fans are encouraged to arrive early to make sure they are in their seats by the 1:03 p.m. CT kickoff. If you plan to watch the match on TV, it will not be shown on FOX across the entirety of the country. With split coverage between NFL and MLS, Sunday's match will only be shown by 31% of FOX affiliates across the country. It will be shown in 100% of markets on ESPN Deportes and can be seen everywhere online via FOX Sports GO. The below map shows which markets will get the Sporting KC match.

Parking Lot Closures

There will be NO general parking at the Kansas Speedway lots. ALL general parking will be at Community America Ballpark and Legends Garage (level 2 & 3) with shuttles running from both locations. Other key points:


  • Fans CANNOT tailgate on Legends property.
  • Phoenix/110th & Homestead entrances will be closed to all STM, Lot E & F patrons. All three lots will need to enter the Watkins Glenn gate and they will be directed to their lot.
  • Lots will open at 10am with the 1pm kick, fans should arrive early to beat the traffic

Traffic Closures
WEEKEND-LONG FULL ROAD CLOSURE: All lanes of westbound I-435 at I-35 CLOSED at 10 p.m. on Friday, September 16 and reopening at 5 a.m. on Monday, September 19.

A marked detour will be provided via northbound U.S. 69 to 87th Street exit back onto southbound I-35 to access westbound I-435.
