LISTEN: Tim Melia and Marc Dos Santos join the Sporting KC Show

Tim Melia - Sporting KC at New York Red Bulls

A sixth consecutive postseason berth and potential home playoff match for Sporting Kansas City. A USL championship for the Swope Park Rangers.

Both are stake on Sunday, aptly dubbed Decision Day given the impending drama as Major League Soccer's regular season comes to a close.

Thus, there was no shortage of talking points during last night's Sporting KC Show on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine were joined by Sporting Kansas City goalkeeper Tim Melia, as well as Swope Park Rangers head coach Marc Dos Santos, for insight into both clubs.

Sitting in the final playoff position, Sporting KC hosts the San Jose Earthquakes at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday at Children's Mercy Park (tickets) with the chance to finish as high as fourth in the Western Conference.

"There's everything to play for Sunday and we get to do it at home in front of our own fans," said Melia. "It's still in our hands. It's our destiny to be controlled and we get to do it at home. We can't ask for anything more than that. "

Shortly after the conclusion of SKCvSJ on Sunday, the Swope Park Rangers will take the field at Red Bull Arena in the 2016 USL Cup Final against New York Red Bulls II in match nationally televised at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

"It's excellent to play New York in New York, because we are going to be real champions if we beat them," said Dos Santos. "We won our conference and we're going to play against the team that dominated their conference. To be champions and to be the best, you have to win against the best. We have the opportunity to do that on Sunday. We know the challenge is going to be huge."
