Loan Update: Erik Palmer-Brown and Tyler Pasher loaned to the Swope Park Rangers

Tyler Pasher March 28

The Swope Park Rangers have added defenders Erik Palmer-Brown and Tyler Pasher on loan from Sporting Kansas City ahead of tomorrow nightā€™s USL showdown with Portland Timbers 2, the club announced today.

In addition, Sporting KC has recalled defender Kevin Ellis and forwards Latif Blessing and Daniel Salloi after all three started SPRā€™s season opening victory over OKC Energy FC on Saturday night ā€“ with Blessing and Salloi both finding the net. Goalkeeper Adrian Zendejas and defender Colton Storm remain with the Rangers for Wednesdayā€™s game.

Palmer-Brown is joining the Rangers for the first time after spending 2016 on loan with Portuguese side FC Porto B. The 19-year-old center back made 17 appearances for Porto B, winning the LigaPro title ā€“ the sideā€™s first league championship ā€“ and scoring his first professional goal against Leicester Cityā€™s Under-23 team in the Premier League International Cup last November.

The Leeā€™s Summit, Mo. native spent the early stages of 2017 with the U.S. Under-20 National Team, captaining the side to CONCACAF U-20 Championship glory and qualification to the FIFA U-20 World Cup this May. Palmer-Brown was honored with the Golden Ball after the final of the competition ā€“ awarded to the best player at the tournament.

Pasher returns to the Rangers for the first time since being signed to an MLS contract by Sporting KC in December. The 22-year-old had a standout first season with SPR, tallying five goals and four assists in 28 USL appearances as the side won the Western Conference Championship in its inaugural season.

Pasher, who hails from Elmira, Ontario, made one appearance for Sporting KC in 2016, coming against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the CONCACAF Champions League on Sept. 13.

The Rangers will take on Portland Timbers 2 tomorrow night, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT at Childrenā€™s Mercy Victory Field inside Swope Soccer Village. Tickets are available via SeatGeek and at the box office on gameday.
