LISTEN: Erik Palmer-Brown and Brian Dunseth join the Sporting KC Show

Erik Palmer-Brown scores vs. Mexico

One day after celebrating his 20th birthday, Sporting Kansas City homegrown defender and U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team captain Erik Palmer Brown joined the Sporting KC Radio Show with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine on Sports Radio 810 WHB.

The center back reflected on his experience at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, a tournament in which he garnered Golden Ball honors as the competition’s best player, and also discussed the strong starts both Sporting Kansas City and the Swope Park Rangers have made to kick off the 2017 campaign.

To preview Saturday’s rivalry showdown between Sporting KC and Real Salt Lake, Tuesday’s episode also included an appearance from RSL broadcaster and former U.S. international Brian Dunseth. Real Salt Lake is off to a 2-4-2 start, but has won two of three games under new head coach Mike Petke, who took over earlier this month after Jeff Cassar was dismissed from the position.

In addition to breaking down the early stages of RSL’s season, Dunseth opined on the latest salary figures released by MLS Players Union, asserting that the league is poised to become increasingly competitive on the world stage.
