Following a two-game road trip and the first loss of 2017, Sporting KC will return home this weekend to kick off a two-game homestand starting Saturday night against Real Salt Lake. Sporting KC enters the contest in fourth place in the Western Conference with 12 points through seven games. Real Salt Lake is seventh place in the West with just eight points through eight matches.
Saturday night's match features a host of players who have been mainstays for the U.S. MNT over the past few years including Sporting KC's Matt Besler and Graham Zusi and Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman.
Besler joined Sports Radio 810's Steven St. John and Nate Bukaty on The Border Patrol Tuesday morning to discuss the recent loss to FC Dallas and preview this weekend's match against Real Salt Lake. The Sporting KC captain also shared the team's reaction to Dom Dwyer's recent backstage visit to WWE Monday Night Raw as well as a personal story about watching wrestling with his family as a kid.
