Sporting Kansas City announced Wednesday that midfielder Graham Zusi has signed a new contract with the club. Per club policy, terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.

“I am thrilled to stay with Sporting Kansas City,” Zusi said. “The culture, fans, atmosphere and organization are top-notch and our objectives are the same, to win championships. I know we will all work hard on and off the field and commit ourselves to reach our goals.”

Eric Kronberg heads into his seventh professional season with only five top-flight appearances. His contract is up at the end of the year, unless Sporting Kansas City pick up his option. And he plays for a club with a history of bringing goalkeepers in, not up.

That might sound like a recipe for anxiety – but Kronberg, Sporting’s longtime understudy, knows that breaks don’t always come early at his position.

Sporting Kansas City announced Tuesday that the club has signed 2012 MLS SuperDraft second round pick Cyprian Hedrick.

“It is an amazing achievement for me, my family and my friends. It has been a very long road up until now, and the road doesn’t stop here,” Hedrick said. “It’s an amazing feeling, but now it’s just time to get to work to stay where I am and keep improving. I love it, I couldn’t be happier.”
