Coming off a 3-1 road win at Toronto FC, Sporting Kansas City will kick off a three-match homestand this Sunday when the club takes on a Portland Timbers side led by Brazilian midfielder Evander and Uruguayan forward Jonathan Rodriguez. The Western Conference clash will kick off at 12:55 p.m. CT and tickets are available online at SeatGeek, including the Coca-Cola Friends & Family 4-Pack and the Wild West 5-Pack.

The MLS Matchday 8 finale will be free to watch on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV in addition to national television broadcasts on FOX and FOX Deportes as well as local radio coverage on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM. Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show all of the action, including a watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District.

SKC ACADEMY CONTINUES GA CUP TODAY

The Sporting KC Academy U-15s and U-17s will continue competing in the 2024 Generation adidas Cup this week at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The U-15s will play Club Necaxa at 10:30 a.m. CT today before the U-17s face Atletico Nacional at 3:30 p.m. CT this afternoon. Fans can follow @SKCAcademy on Twitter for updates.

New in 2024, Behind the Shield presented by Audi will be available after every match this season with the video series - produced by Sporting's full-time digital storytellers - providing fans with an immersive viewing experience highlighted by exclusive interviews and all-access footage from SKC players, trainings and matchdays. This week's BTS captures the sights and sounds from the club's 3-1 victory in Toronto and will premier at noon CT on Thursday on SportingKC.com and Sporting Kansas City's YouTube channel.

TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY FOR WHISKEY FEST

Tickets go on sale this Friday for the Legends of Whiskey Summer Festival, which will be held at Children's Mercy Park on Saturday, July 13. Ticket holders will meet the biggest names in the whiskey industry while sampling some of their highly-acclaimed whiskey and other specialty spirits.

BLIND SOCCER PITCH RIBBON CUTTING ON FRIDAY

The Kansas State School for the Blind and the KC Blind All-Stars Foundation will host a ribbon cutting from 2-3 p.m. CT on Friday for the installation of a new blind soccer pitch made possible by a donation from The Victory Project. Kansas State School for the Blind is located at 1100 State Ave. in Kansas City, Kansas.

AWAY TICKET REQUESTS FOR ATXvSKC OPEN ON FRIDAY

Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members and members of Sporting KC supporters groups are eligible to receive complimentary tickets for Sporting away matches. Requests are currently open for Sporting's matches at Minnesota United FC on April 27 and Real Salt Lake on May 4 while supplies last. Away ticket requests for Sporting's match at Austin FC on May 18 will open this Friday.

SPORTING STRIPES BEGINS SATURDAY AT HOMEFIELD

The spring session of Sporting Stripes, a beginner soccer program for 2-5 year olds, will start on Saturday at Homefield (5000 Bannister Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri. MATCHDAY CLINIC ON SUNDAY AT CHILDREN'S MERCY PARK

Sporting KC will host a Matchday Experience Clinic from 3-4 p.m. CT on Sunday on the pitch at Children's Mercy Park for boys and girls between the ages of 7-14 years old to take the field following SKCvPOR. Registration is $60 and includes an official Sporting KC camp t-shirt.

SKC II PLAYS COLORADO RAPIDS 2 ON SUNDAY

Sporting KC II will continue the MLS NEXT Pro campaign at 8:30 p.m. CT on Sunday with a road trip to play Colorado Rapids 2 at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. The Frontier Division match-up will be streamed live on MLSNEXTPro.com and fans can follow @SportingKCII on Twitter for updates.
