Why attend Sporting Kansas City (SKC) Youth Soccer Programs/Camps?
SKC Youth Programs/Camps are more than just a soccer camp! Our 2017 schedule offers recreational and competitive based programming that offer youth players the opportunity to build a foundation or gain next-level exposure to give progression. These programs are directly operated by Sporting KC professional youth soccer staff! The curriculum is specifically designed based on Sporting KC First Team, Swope Park Ranger and SKC Academy practices to create the most engaging and challenging experience possible for your soccer player.
What is the the SKC Youth Program/Camp philosophy?
We at SKC strive to provide a professional learning environment that is fun and engaging for soccer players of ALL ages and skill levels. SKC Programs/Camps are the foundation of our Pathway to the Pros! Beginning with Sporting Stripes Early Childhood Soccer: 2-5y, youth camps, supplemental training opportunities for club level players, SKC Academy, Swope Park Rangers and ending with the Sporting KC senior team. Our Programs/Camps serve as a way to give players supplemental training in order to improve individually or help guide players along the progressional pathway.
Are there any required prerequisite Programs/Camps?
Programs are specific to a players level of play to create the best learning envirionment for each child. We understand there are exceptions to this rule and they can be discussed with the SKC Youth Department. If SKC feels a child is better suited to a different environment, that will be communicated with a parent/carer immediately.
Who are the coaches at SKC Camps?
Our coaches come from various backgrounds and soccer experiences, many with ties to Sporting KC. We have professional youth coaches from the SKC front office, local SKC Academy Affiliates and Sporting Club Network club coaches, former SKC Academy players as well as SKC Academy staff and current Swope Park Rangers players.
