Sporting KC returns to Canada on Saturday afternoon to face Toronto FC at BMO Field with a chance to go top of the Eastern Conference standings. A win would move them into a tie with New York, who face FC Dallas on Sunday afternoon. It's the third and final meeting between the two sides in the 2013 MLS regular season.
Toronto FC There a few injury concerns for Toronto with Matias Laba out with a fractured toe and Danny Koevermans and Robert Earnshaw both listed as questionable with calf strains. Toronto's lineup on Saturday should be similar to last weekend's at New York with Earnshaw likely to be back in the starting eleven.
It's been another tough season for Toronto who will once again miss out on the playoffs. The club is currently on a seven-match winless streak and has not scored more than one goal in any of those matches. Overall they have two wins at home this season (one of them vs Sporting KC at Rogers Centre on March 9) conceded 42 goals through 29 matches (Sporting KC has conceded 27). Sporting KC will be the heavy favorites in this match but won't take anything for granted based on the result in early March.
Robert Earnshaw (Forward) - A crafty forward who has scored seven goals in 21 starts this season
Bobby Convey (Midfielder) - The former Sporting KC player leads Toronto with four assists this season
