An inaugural member of Major League Soccer since 1996, Sporting Kansas City is celebrating the club's 20th season in 2015 and will welcome the Philadelphia Union to Sporting Park on Sunday for the team's 600th all-time regular season game and 300th regular season home match (tickets).
The milestone moment -- which has seen KC play in 38 different stadiums across the country over the years, with two new venues joining the list later in 2015 -- comes in a nationally televised #SoccerSunday doubleheader, kicking off with #SJvRSL at 4 p.m. CT on ESPN2 before the MLS Week 5 finale at 6 p.m. CT on FOX Sports 1 with John Strong and Alexi Lalas calling the #SKCvPHI action in KC.
In celebration of the 600th match, Sporting Kansas City will be distributing 300 autographed Dom Dwyer posters among the 10,000 available at the gates as well as 300 tickets to the FC Kansas City season opener (April 12 at Sporting Park) randomly attached to the gameday roster cards handed out at all entrances. Once inside, fans can take advantage of $10 off all regular price scarves at Sporting Style shops and can receive 10% off their entire purchase by donating soccer equipment to the Recycle Your Game initiative.
Finally, all Sporting Club Uphoria users can pick up a free 48-ounce carton of Breyers ice cream at Kansas City area Price Chopper locations.
