Man Utd Daily Beat: Team leaves for Toronto

Manchester United head to Toronto for their upcoming matchup against Celtic FC.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. – Premier League giants Manchester United departed for Toronto on Thursday, ending their stay in Chicago as they prepare to take on Scottish power Celtic FC at Rogers Centre on Friday.

The Red Devils had more on their plate than a mere flight north of the border. The team took part in a closed training session at the Toyota Park practice field in the morning before returning downtown to host an interactive fan event at the Niketown store.

Said event featured United players judging a skills competition for young players followed by a Q&A session with fans.

Manchester United will continue their 2010 North American tour after Friday’s match with a Saturday morning flight to Philadelphia. They’ll take on MLS expansion club Philadelphia Union on July 21 at Lincoln Financial Field.

On July 25, the famed English club will be hosted by the Kansas City Wizards at Arrowhead Stadium.

Finally, United’s tour will culminate on July 28, when they take on the MLS All-Stars at Reliant Field in Houston.
