The Kansas City Wizards announced Monday that the team’s next home game, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 11th, has been moved to Wednesday, September 22nd against the Houston Dynamo due to CommunityAmerica Ballpark availability.

The Kansas City T-Bones home stadium will host the opening round of the Northern League baseball playoffs in a best of five series beginning September 8th or 9th.

The Wizards and Dynamo mutually agreed to the schedule change, with the match time remaining at 7:30 p.m. CT. All tickets issued for the Houston match, including season ticket packages, will be valid for the new, September 22nd date. Tickets can be purchased by visiting KCWizards.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL.

Local broadcast details for the match on September 22nd have not been finalized, and will be publicized at a later date.

The schedule change will provide the Wizards a week off amidst a three-game road trip that began Saturday with a 2-0 victory over the league-leading Los Angeles Galaxy. The team will then return home for back-to-back home matches at CommunityAmerica Ballpark during the late season playoff push, with the Wizards hosting FC Dallas on Saturday, September 25th following the midweek meeting with Houston.

The Wizards have nine matches remaining in the 2010 regular season, four of which will be played at CommunityAmerica Ballpark where Kansas City is 5-3-3 this season and 18-11-13 all time.
