Nielsen, who has 12 saves in three games thus far in 2011, is one of two Sporting Kansas City player's currently up for an MLS award this week. Striker Teal Bunbury is also in contention for AT&T Goal of the Week for his 58th minute strike against the Whitecaps, one of two goals for him in the 3-3 draw.
