Sporting selects KC American Sportservice

American Sportservice at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park

Sporting Kansas City today announced it has selected KC American Sportservice – a joint venture of Delaware North Companies Sportservice and American Food & Vending – to provide food and beverage services at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park.


KC American Sportservice will manage all food and beverage operations at the Major League Soccer (MLS) team’s new state-of-the-art stadium, including general concessions and premium dining in the venue’s 36 suites and five clubs. Sporting KC will open the new stadium June 9 at against rivals Chicago Fire on ESPN2.

LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, managed for Sporting Kansas City by Global Spectrum, seats 18,467 for soccer and approximately 25,000 for concerts.


The stadium’s Members Club features the first restaurant in MLS to remain open during non-game days. The unique 2,000-person capacity club features long high-top tables, 28 flat-screen televisions, two giant HD projection screens and a DJ booth. The 8,000-square-foot area has large glass garage doors that face the playing field and will be open on game days.


KC American Sportservice is finalizing diverse menus for the Members Club, including for a large buffet and several action stations where food will be prepared and served fresh to guests. In addition, KC American Sportservice will serve fans in the Stadium Club, which has a capacity of 1,000 and will feature a premium buffet themed on a Taste of Kansas City; Field Club, which includes in-seat service for 400; and two suite-level lounges to serve suite guests in a European dining style.


The stadium’s eight permanent concession stands will feature a variety of food presented in six different concession themes: Kansas City BBQ, Grill, Pizza, Stadium Fare, Children’s and Southern Border. Several portable concession carts will supplement the permanent concessions.
