Sporting Club announced on Thursday a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership with THECOOLTV as a founding partner of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, which hosts its inaugural match to a nationally-televised audience at 9:00 p.m. CT tonight on ESPN2.

"This continues Sporting Club's efforts to mix sport with entertainment to create a more vibrant content platform,” Sporting Club CEO Robb Heineman said. “THECOOLTV will provide our members unique opportunities to access exclusive music content and events."

“THECOOLTV is excited to partner with Sporting Club as two local, pioneering, forward-thinking companies work together to bring great content home,” THECOOLTV CEO Joe Comparato said. “Our reach of over 50 million households is on its way to Kansas City and we will do even more here in addition to our 24/7 music video channel. Our aggressive nature and target demographic perfectly aligns with Sporting Club’s and we will continue to push the bar in all we do to generate innovative and unique entertainment.”

The multicast television network, based out of Lawrence, Kansas, is available in over 70 cities and will be the official music content partner, event production partner and alpha technology partner of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park. THECOOLTV will also receive the naming rights to the Members Club, a first-of-its-kind space reserved for Sporting Club members.

"We really like the fact that this is an entrepreneurial, young, local company with whom we get to partner,” Heineman said. “Their distribution gives our brand an immediate boost and their content and production capabilities will amplify both our in-stadium entertainment and our online properties."

Inside the Members Club, THECOOLTV Lounge will introduce Sporting Club members to the THECOOLTV and Cool Music Network content, and the space will be available to host small concerts and group gatherings.

Sporting Club’s partnership with THECOOLTV will also produce Sporting KC and Sporting Club content and programming through its television and internet network, via the 300+ StadiumVision televisions in LIVESTRONG Sporting Park and through Sporting Membership’s recently launched online network.

This partnership will enhance Sporting Club’s existing content through recent partnerships with leading technology providers like Cisco and Panasonic. It also provides Sporting Club a unique opportunity to leverage the upcoming Google Fiber deployment.

"Through the capabilities of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park, THECOOLTV will be showcased in a first-class way and all members will be on the leading edge of musical content applications," Comparato said.
