Sporting Kansas City midfielder Graham Zusi was awarded MLS AT&T Goal of the Week for his stunning strike against the Portland Timbers during Week 23, Major League Soccer announced on Friday.

Zusi, in the midst of a breakout season in 2011, opened the scoring in Sporting Kansas City's 3-1 victory at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park last Wednesday in the 25th minute with a half-volley from 30+ yards that dipped into the upper 90. Zusi scored again 15 minutes later for his career-best fifth goal of the season and second multi-goal game of the year that earned him MLS Player of the Week honors, as voted on by the North American Soccer Reporters.
The award marks the second AT&T Goal of the Week for a Sporting Kansas City player in as many months, after striker Kei Kamara's scissor kick against Toronto FC took top honors for Week 19.
